2 YEAR KEY STAGE 3 PLANS

Last updated July 2008 - this page now ARCHIVED

At a recent meeting to look at our KS3 plans, we decided that we would go for a 2 YEAR KEY STAGE 3 COURSE. The plans are in an early stage of development at the moment. We are deciding what to cover in particular units: what we can ditch and what we need to adapt from what we already do, and then roll it out from Year 7 onwards...

The plan is to have:

Shorter, more focussed enquiry sequences (4-5 lessons) - following the guidance from Liz Taylor

More fieldwork opportunities and out of classroom learning

Preparatory work for Year 9, which will involve delivery of some units from the new OCR 'A' specification.
