An illustrated GLOSSARY of Geological terms here. Thanks to Geography Jim for the tip offs to these sites.
GEOLOGY CENTRAL is as useful as the name suggests.
This site has the HISTORY OF THE NIAGARA FALLS. This could be relevant to the topic on Glaciation and Rivers too. Nicely designed and good images.
An ILLUSTRATED GLOSSARY of Geological terms.
Try also GEOLOGY LINK. This has some very useful sections such as 'The Earth Today' which gives the latest seismic information. It is run by the publishers Houghton Mifflin, so expect their books to be given a sympathetic airing. Has a Virtual Classroom which provides an excellent list of online courses and materials which would be well worth exploring if you're teaching a course in Earth Science. Recommended.
Have there been any earthquakes in the UK recently ? The quakes in the last month are put onto a useful map which can be obtained from the BGS.
