Approaching the
entrance to Disneyland Paris. Mickey Mouse clock is telling you it's just
past 9am - opening time !
About to enter
Main Street USA - trainline runs above street level
Walking up Main
Street towards the central plaza and the castle
Retail quarter.
One of many shops selling merchandise.
The castle draws
people towards it...
Sleeping Beauty's
castle
The castle and
topiary. The castle is apparently designed to play tricks with perspective
to make it appear to be taller than it actually is.
The entrance to
the castle. Great detailing. Inside the castle is stained glass and the
access to other parts of the park.
'The Sword in the
Stone' - one of many photo opportunities within the park.
A real attraction
for geographers. This is called "It's a Small World". Features images of
many of the world's nations - you can play 'Spot the Stereotype' (or cheer
when you see your nation's figures as people did when I was there...)
Hey - it's Mickey
Mouse !
Pirate boat and
Skull Island
More shops, and
the Beanstalk...
The entrance to
Adventureland - one of 5 themed areas. My favourite was Fantasyland -
can't get enough of those teacups!
Wishes - theme for one of the parades.
People waiting
for the evening parade, which starts at 7.15pm
Dumbo float in
the parade
Disney village.
This is one of the other theme parks in the area.
