Keynote speaker : Peter Ford talking about Blogging for pupils

Peter Ford was someone I contacted when developing the GeoBlogs project in 2003. He talked about the value of weblogs in education, and gave demonstrations of them in use and how they could be used to encourage creativity, and to give students an audience for their work, as well as some instant feedback.

Leading Practitioners Leading Learners.

Introduced an approach called 'blended learning' - the provision or use of resources which combines e-learning or m-learning (mobile learning) with other educational resources and approaches. It can involve e-mentoring and e-tutoring and can be used to personalise learning. Links to constructive learning theory which focuses on the learner rather than the subject. Need a community of learners, learning by discussing: peer marking (mediation)

Moving away from the one-size-fits-all world to the world of choice - perhaps there's too much choice...

Society works around networks. Need to create e-learning networks and some initial groups have been targeted.

Some training will be provided for the technology.
