Now part of Pilot GCSE Geography
For an introduction, try the website of WEST NORFOLK council, or the local paper, the twice-weekly LYNN NEWS.
For the local area, you can get maps of course (see LOCAL STUDIES page you just came from....link back at the bottom of the page)
ABOUT BRITAIN has an article on the town. Some MAPS of the town here.
Try the WISECAT site for more. There's also a site for the DOCKS, run by Associated British Ports. You can also find sites for major local building such as St. Margaret's church and Castle Rising if you search using a reasonable search engine. There's also a SLIDE SHOW of the town by a former mayor.
An area that we use for school fieldwork is GAYWOOD, which is a neighbourhood shopping centre within easy walking distance of the school, which allows us to use the site during lessons and get back before the end. This area is used for: Traffic Surveys, Shopping surveys, and also for GCSE fieldtrips. See the GAYWOOD page for some photos of the area.
