ICT Technician is not 'user friendly'
The problems we have are often linked with network failure, pupils not having passwords, and the network running slowly
Although I have never abandoned a lesson it is important to be flexible. Particular sites can be down for whatever reason at a particular time. Planning is more complex and time consuming than usual, and you can't expect to 'teach from the front'. This means handouts are necessary, yet the lesson must allow for individuality.
Some students are very experienced and others have made a career out of avoiding ICT skills.
Whole system collapse
NOF training a 'vast waste of time'
Network down
Network problems
Slow hardware
Lessons have had to be abandoned on several occasions due to hardware problems and server problems.
Accessed a site at home, but pupils were denied access due to filtering
Quite often allow pairs of pupils access while the rest of the group is doing a whole-class activity
