TOURIST GUIDE TO THE UK - could be a parody guide....

Perhaps something that students could do is to investigate their own home area (or another part of the UK) rather than looking at other places. There are, of course, many TOURIST GUIDE publishers. The students need to think about what people from outside the UK might think of the country.
Either do this for NORFOLK, or for another area of the country (which might require some additional research...)
Consider the following:
The places that tourists might visit
The food they might eat
The customs / day to day activities they might encounter
Special days or festivals which they should try to see if possible
Activities which they could take part in
Particular regional specialities...
This is also something which I am developing for the MY PLACE unit of the Pilot GCSE course.
