VIRTUAL TRANSECT OF LONDON
Produced by Dan Raven Ellison

Here's a message from Dan:
"I went out during half term and
produced a Virtual Transect of London. It is a systematic 27 point transect from
the Gallions Reach (Newham) in the east to Ealing in the west. At each point you
can look north, east, south or west to see around 30 seconds of video of that
direction. For more details take a look at:
http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=virtual+transect
Each DVD includes 108 video clips (that can be edited), activity ideas, a range of presentation options, a Google earth file of the location and information on each of the points with links to relevant websites (info on population, health, house prices and more). There is even a blank PowerPoint frame of 108 slides for you to make your own VT."
HERE is the GOOGLE EARTH file so that you can see the locations of the video. (4.56 Kb - KMZ file)

just £5 (+ £1.50 p&p)
This is a highly recommended and very reasonably priced resource, which I have a copy of myself, and have used with GCSE students within the last month.
You should visit Adam Lawson's excellent GEOGRAPHY AT THE MOVIES blog to link through to an ad for the transect (4 Mb download) in the Movie News section.
Dan will also make a personalised transect of any city you want for only £350.
Please note that I do not profit from sales of this resource, or referrals to the eBay site.
